Riverbed Expands Partnership with Microsoft
Riverbed Technology, the application performance company, announced that Riverbed SteelHead CX and Riverbed SteelCentral AppInternals will be available on Microsoft’s U.S Azure Government Cloud Marketplace, a new cloud environment customised for the unique security, privacy and compliance requirements of federal agencies. Government customers will be able to easily access Riverbed’s industry-leading application performance solutions in support of their IT modernisation and digital transformation goals. Riverbed SteelHead CX is available now and Riverbed SteelCentral AppInternals is expected to be available in Q1 2017.
“Federal agencies are seeking technology solutions that help them transform the way they deliver services to citizens,” said Davis Johnson, Vice President of U.S. Public Sector Sales, Riverbed Technology. “Cloud computing is a foundational component of federal IT modernisation, and this expanded partnership allows us to seamlessly deliver the application performance tools agencies need to maximise the power of the cloud, all within a Microsoft Azure environment that’s tailored to meet the unique security and compliance needs of the Federal Government.”
Agencies are embracing cloud computing to achieve the vision outlined in the U.S. Digital Services Playbook, which requires applications to be fast, secure and reliable regardless of where they are deployed. Riverbed’s end-to-end application performance management solutions provide federal IT professionals with the ability to accelerate their agency’s digital transformation with access to optimised applications through the Microsoft Azure Government Cloud Marketplace. This will enable agencies to maximise federal network speeds and achieve the visibility required to easily detect and fix application performance issues.
Microsoft will unveil the Azure Government Cloud Marketplace and its new IT solution offerings to federal stakeholders and customers during the 5th annual Government Cloud Forum on October 25, 2016 in Washington, D.C., where Riverbed is a sponsor. Having joined the Microsoft Azure Certified program in 2014, the release of Riverbed’s network and application performance solutions into the Azure Government Cloud Marketplace will continue to strengthen its strategic partnership with Microsoft.
“We’re excited to further our strategic partnership with Riverbed to provide our federal customers with application performance solutions that will help them capitalize on their digital transformation and cloud-first strategies,” said Curt Kolcun, Vice President of Public Sector, Microsoft. “Now our customers in the Government sector can have easy-access to industry-leading IT solutions through the new Azure Government Cloud Marketplace.”
